Pharaoh Seth and Queen Isis

Time for some Ancient Egypt fanart  

Ever since I finished watching the Memory World arc, I wanted to draw Seth as Egypt's new Pharaoh sooo badly!!! There are very few fanarts portraing him as Pharaoh and I'm really sad about it, really, because he looks so badass as Pharaoh 

Anyway, so this is Seth, Atem's cousin and his successor as the King of the Two Lands of Egypt, alongside his Queen, who is Priestess Isis  I don't like how she supposedly dies in the anime. (It was really stupid and unnecessary e.e) but in the manga she survives, so, to me at least, she survived and became Seth's Queen. And I really like them together I think they form a beautiful couple And they both lost the ones they loved: Seth lost Kisara and Isis lost Mahad (it is implied that they both had feelings for each other) so I love to ship them as well And Seth suffered a lot in his life already, so I think he deserves to have a loving wife by his side who really understands him and helps him to overcome his fears and his loss.

 I was actually thinking about writing a fanfic about it. Here's a brief summary if you guys are interested:

Seth is coronated pharaoh, but he doesn't feel ready for the task, because he never wanted to be pharaoh, and that's why he fought with his own father in the first place. And he's also depressed about his beloved Kisara's death, so this only makes his situation worst. Isis, who sees this and understands his pain because she also lost her beloved Mahad, wants to help him, not only because he's the Pharaoh and he must bring order to his new kingdom (because Egypt is weak after the battle with Zorc and is threatened by enemy civilizations like the Hittites) but because she knows him, he was one of Pharaoh Atem's most loyal High Priests just like her and she's the only one who understands him and she doesn't want to see him suffer. She begins to help him, giving him advice on how to rule his kingdom properly and also comforting him, giving emotional support. And, as time goes by, they become closer and he begins to trust her and she start to develop feelings for him. Mana is the first one to notice this and gets excited about her new best friend and mentor having a relationship with the Pharaoh, but Isis thinks he must marry a noble woman from the court, because there was still some noblemen in the court who wanted to take his throne, so if he married one of their daughters, it might calm the mood of rebellion amongst the people of the nobility. But he refuses to marry any of this women, because he thinks they're not proper suitors. She keeps on insisting, for the sake of Egypt, but Seth's feelings for her start to grow until he's not able to contain them anymore, and they end up having an affair. Rumors about them together were already spreading in the palace. For a time, Isis and Seth hide their affair from everyone, but as the people starts to press him to get married, he decides to marry her, because she already was like his queen for helping him rule the kingdom when he was feeling weak. So they get married and she become Egypt's new queen.


I wanted to draw Seth wearing the Pschent, the Double Crown symbolizing the Pharaoh's power over Upper and Lower Egypt and I even adapted it, adding the winged serpent he already has in his High Priest's hat and I also wanted to draw him wearing the cerimonial false beard. (It looks sooo awesome in him ) I also changed his attire a little, because I wanted something that matched a little with his crown. And the staff he is holding has Khepri, the scarab god, one of the symbols of Seth's reign, because Khepri represents Ra's rebirth in the Egyptian Mythology, and thus, representing Egypt's rebirth after Zorc had destroyed everything. 

As for Isis, I really loved to design her queen's clothes I wanted something that matched her husband's outfit and I also added Khepri on her jewelry. I had a lot of reference of Ancient Egyptian clothing and jewelry to design her Queen's attire
